Waldorf GPB8600E-B Bold - 600mm Electric Griddle - Bench Model

Waldorf Bold GPB8600E-B 600mm Electric Griddle – Bench Model

The GPB8600E-B is a 600mm wide bench-mounted electric griddle from the Waldorf Bold range, purpose-built for the rigours of high-volume commercial kitchens. Driven by 7.2kW heating elements and a 20mm thick machined cooking plate, it maintains consistent, even heat across the entire cooking surface, handling everything from breakfast service and burgers through to seared proteins and grilled vegetables. The unit is manufactured in New Zealand from 304 stainless steel throughout, combining heavy-duty durability with a hygienic, practical design that stands up to continuous daily use.

Installation and day-to-day operation are kept straightforward. The griddle sits on four heavy-duty 63mm diameter stainless steel bench legs fitted with adjustable feet that deliver a working height range of 80mm to 105mm. A single thermostatic control zone spanning 50–300°C is managed via a large heat-resistant reinforced knob with clearly visible settings, while overlapping plate finishes at the front and rear, a removable stainless steel grease drawer, and top weld-sealed plates all support fast, thorough cleaning during and between service periods. Optional ribbed plate sections and mirror finish hard chrome plates allow the unit to be configured for different menu requirements, and the default black finish can be substituted with custom colour options.

Key Benefits

• The 20mm thick machined griddle plate retains heat effectively and recovers temperature quickly under heavy load, keeping service moving consistently.
• Thermostatic control across the cooking zone with a 50–300°C range gives chefs precise management of everything from delicate items through to high-heat searing.
• Overlapping plate finishes at the front and rear combined with a removable stainless steel grease drawer make cleaning faster and reduce downtime between services.
• Adjustable bench legs with an 80mm to 105mm height range allow the unit to be positioned at an ergonomically comfortable working height for different kitchen setups.
• Optional ribbed plate sections and mirror finish hard chrome plates mean the griddle can be configured to suit diverse menu items without the need to purchase additional equipment.
• Top weld-sealed plates prevent grease and debris from migrating beneath the cooking surface, supporting food safety standards and simplifying maintenance.
• A heavy-duty heat-resistant reinforced control knob with easy-view settings reduces the risk of accidental mis-setting during busy service periods.
• Indicator lights for both power and heating status give operators at-a-glance confirmation that the unit is operating as intended.
• Availability in custom colours beyond the default black finish allows the unit to align with kitchen branding or design requirements.
