Waldorf CH8900G-B 800 Series - 900mm Gas Chargrill – Bench Model

Waldorf CH8900G-B 800 Series 900mm Gas Chargrill – Bench Model

The Waldorf CH8900G-B is a 900mm bench model gas chargrill from the 800 Series, purpose-built for high-volume commercial kitchens. Three 33 MJ/hr 304 stainless steel U-burners deliver a combined output of 100 MJ/hr, driving intense, even heat across robust cast iron grates that efficiently transfer that energy all the way to the cooking surface edges. Compatible with both natural gas and LPG, the unit is manufactured in New Zealand to Waldorf's exacting standards and carries a 24-month warranty.

Practical design choices make this chargrill as easy to maintain as it is to operate. The grate fin configuration sits at a deliberate incline that reduces flare-ups while directing grease into a front collection channel for controlled, clean grilling. Grates, radiants and baffles all lift out without tools, giving kitchen staff fast access for thorough cleaning. Flame failure protection with a continuous pilot burner adds an important layer of safety for a busy service environment.

Key Benefits

• Three powerful U-burners totalling 100 MJ/hr produce consistent, high heat across the full 900mm cooking surface, supporting fast throughput on steaks, seafood, poultry and vegetables.
• Inclined grate positioning reduces flare-ups during cooking and channels grease toward a front collection point, keeping the grill cleaner and reducing the risk of unwanted charring.
• Reversible heavy-duty cast iron grates allow chefs to choose the optimal grilling surface for different products, extending the versatility of a single piece of equipment.
• Flame failure protection with a continuous pilot burner automatically shuts off gas if the flame is extinguished, improving safety during unattended or high-tempo service periods.
• Lift-out grates, radiants and baffles eliminate the need for tools during cleaning, reducing end-of-service labour and keeping the unit compliant with hygiene standards.
• Variable high-low temperature control on each burner lets operators independently manage heat zones across the grill for simultaneous cooking of different menu items.
• Heavy-duty reinforced control knobs withstand the wear of constant daily use in a professional kitchen, reducing the frequency of part replacements.
• Full 304 stainless steel construction throughout the body delivers corrosion resistance and long service life in hot, humid kitchen conditions.
• Bench model footprint integrates neatly onto an existing work surface or a compatible Waldorf 800 Series stand, giving operators flexibility in kitchen layout.
